bonjour j'aimerai avoir une aide j'ai un dm a faire et je n'y arrive pas alors voila je resume :
dawson note that :
5²-4²=5+4;10²-9²=10+9;205²-249²=250+249 
and tus, he asserts that the difference between the squares of two consecutive numbers is equal to the sum of these two consecutive numbers. 
mary tells him his conjecture couldn't be right for any consecutive numbers .
how can dawson prove he's right ? 
oui c'est un devoir de maths en anglais et oui ma prof est folle c'est dur alors aidez moi s'il vous plait ?

Dawson can prove it using a letter in an equation :
[tex]x^2-(x-1)^2\\=x^2-(x^2-2x+1)\\=x^2-x^2+2x-1\\=2x-1\\=x+x-1\\=x + (x-1)[/tex]

So it is right.
